So, in addition to keeping up with friends’ LiveJournals, I also read a few other blogs: I’ve been a regular reader of Andrew Sullivan’s Daily Dish for a while now (picked up via some friends blogs), as well as Joe.My.God (who often swaps links with the Dish). I read Wil Wheaton’s blog via LJ. I also get news from various RSS feeds and whatnot, but I’m interested in other good, thought-provoking blogs, so I turn to you, my friends, readers, and occasional visitors: what blogs do you read regularly that you recommend?

Hilzoy at Obsidian Wings is one of the very finest bloggers now going. Amazing woman with a fascinating perspective on life - daughter of a famous philosopher, does business and scholarship in Turkey and Pakistan - and writes wonderfully. She has a great heart and a great head.

The other commenters range from pretty good to pretty awful, and they're having troll problems these days. But Hilzoy's worth the price of admission all by herself.

The one that I read regularly that I might recommend to those interested in space exploration and astronomy is [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick. He seems to almost always be the first place I hear about everything cool on those topics. He also separates out the wheat from the chaff. I don't hear about every time a tile is repaired on the shuttle. He tends to post articles and links that are scientifically significant.

Of course for gaming theory I read yours ... 'cause you're the man ...

Ooh, I didn't know about the RSS feed to LJ. Otherwise, I'm also seconding that recommendation. Excellent blog.

I also read Patrick and Teresa Nielsen Hayden's blog, Making Light (also available via RSS feed).
