Well, signed us up for a Blockbuster Online membership for a free trial and stuff to see how it goes. It's definitely gotten to the point where there are lots of DVDs (especially TV on DVD) that we want to watch but don't need to own, particularly since we don't get premium cable. First up in the queue is the first season of Rome from HBO.

Dec. 21st, 2006 04:14 pmFor my Yule gift, Christopher got me the complete Flash Gordon animated series on DVD. Oh my gods, it's fun! Cheesy as all get out, of course, but actually not half bad for a Saturday morning cartoon from 1979, and surprisingly true to the comic strips. Plus Ming the Merciless is voiced by Alan Oppenheimer, the same guy who did Skeletor on the Masters of the Universe cartoon. Now I want to do a Spirit of the Century/Iron Lord of Jupiter style game....
