Countdown to Launch... 5... 4... 3...
Oct. 5th, 2006 09:38 amIt's "tour mode" here as Christopher and I prepare for our respective business trips tomorrow.
Christoper is off on an eightteen day tour of the midwest, from Colorado Springs to Chicago, with eleven events along the way. Then he gets a four-day "break" at home before heading to Columbus for the Real Witches Ball on the weekend of Oct. 27th.
I'm on my way to Seattle for a weekend summit with Green Ronin to discuss plans for the coming year. Christopher's flight leaves at 6:00 AM, so I'm dropping him off at Manchester airport, then taking a shuttle to Logan Airport in Boston to catch my Seattle flight. It'll be my first time flying JetBlue, since I wanted to get a direct flight rather than having to change planes (which would have certainly been the case had I flown out of Manchester).
So today is all about laundry, running last-minute errands, and packing. I'm trying not to think too much about eightteen days without Christopher. Fortunately, the first five I'll be spending in Seattle, so it'll be down to less than two weeks when I get home. Still, I miss him already.
I'm sure I'll have 'net access in Seattle so, hopefully, I'll have time to update my LJ while I'm there and let everyone know how I'm doing. Christopher is also going to be blogging on his trip to let me (and everyone else) "tag along" with him. I think the updates are going to be primarily on his personal website, but they might show up on LJ, too.
Okay, off to the gym, then there are things to do! See ya!

Date: 2006-10-05 01:57 pm (UTC)You and me both; I'm off to MD/DC tomorrow to visit my lover as well as attend a friend's wedding (which will also allow me to reconnect with my tribe, briefly, as they'll be in attendance too) this weekend.
Enjoy the GR summit! Strength to you and Christopher for those 18 days.

Date: 2006-10-05 04:56 pm (UTC)Of course, they don't really allow us to request that weekend off from work... I'm just hoping to get November 1 off without having to pull the "Religious reasons" card. Right now I'm looking at doing an all-night vigil for samhain.

Date: 2006-10-05 05:03 pm (UTC)I'll double-check with the cub, and see if he has plans or what. We're planning on doing some anniversary-like at some point soonish, so we may fold all of that into there.

Date: 2006-10-05 07:46 pm (UTC)On second thought, I can't get there for the book signing, and $20 is way to much to pay just to heckle someone. Even Chris.
