Heroes: "Landslide"

Okay, first off, George Takei freakin’ rocks! I got a total Planetary vibe off of his brief talk about having “allies with power” and alluding to the “old days.” I’m looking forward to them fleshing out the story of the previous generation. The “ascend” comment (”I’ve been waiting for a Nakamura to ascend”) was also tantalizing.
The whole “I’m going to teach you kendo in like a couple hours” thing was a bit weak, but the sequence was so cool I was able to overlook it. I’d hoped for a nod to some sort of unconscious time-warping by Hiro, where he walks out of the room after spending a long time training with his father, to discover virtually no time has passed outside. Anyhow...
I’m starting to think Nathan ends up a bad guy for Season 2, trying to do the right thing, but sinking deeper into doing bad things for what he believes are all the right reasons. Be nice if he pulls a reversal in the season finale, but who knows?
And Candice, holy Gruenwald’s Ghost, she’s Moonglow! (If you know what I’m talking about without clicking on the link ... ha! geek!)
Still looking for a Peter/Syler throwdown. They’ve been building to it for a while, so here’s hoping it doesn’t disappoint.
