The best laid plans...
Dec. 19th, 2005 08:12 amSo everything was ready for our Yule get-together last evening when we got a call from our coven-mates, who had just goten home from visiting family to discover their furnace had given up the ghost and their house (where we were supposed to have our Yule circle) was freezing. We scrambled to make calls to people to invite them over to our place; some couldn't make it, but about a half-dozen folks could and we had a nice, intimate gathering (which is the only kind you can have in our living room, since we don't exactly have a lot of space for entertaining). We made some adjustments to the ritual and things went just fine, and there was plenty of food and drink for the feasting afterward. A nice conclusion to the weekend.
The next couple weeks are all about getting some end-of-the-year projects wrapped up so I can enjoy the holiday events on the weekend, particularly our plans to go to Montreal for New Year's.
