I guess if I was going with the newfangled Leverage style this should be “The RPG Clearout Job” but what can I say, I was brought up on Top Secret...

Anyhow... I’ve got a lot of RPG books. It’s a condition of working in the industry. I’m working on clearing a lot of the extra stuff out of my basement. Most of it is going to Noble Knight, but I’ve got multiple comp copies of various things, and probably not going to offer Noble Knight more than one of any particular thing. So I’m posting a list of extras here for folks interested in trading for them.

Here are the rules (I’m a game designer, you knew there would be rules):

1. I’m looking to reduce the amount of stuff I’ve got, and I enjoy reading on my iPad, so I’m primarily interested in acquiring electronic copies of new stuff, PDFs mostly, since that’s the format they’re published in. If you’re a publisher in a legitimate position to trade me a PDF, that’s great. If you’re willing to “gift” me an amount at an online PDF seller like DriveThruRPG, RPGNow, Warehouse 23, or Your Games Now, that’s fine, too. I will not, however, accept pirated electronic products in trade: they need to come from an online retailer or someone who is known to me to as a legit publisher.

2. There are some few print edition products I’m looking for, either because they’re not available in electronic format or I prefer to have or read them in hardcopy. They are pretty much the only exceptions to #1 above.

3. If some generous publisher wants to give me a PDF from my want list without getting something in trade, chances are I won’t say no. ;-) Still, the primary point of this exercise is to get excess books out of my house.

4. All trades are first-come, first-served. I’ll do my best to mark things off the list as trades are confirmed.

5. I’ll mail books out at the earliest opportunity, typically media mail. If you want faster shipping, you can make arrangements with me to pay for it as part of the trade.

So, on to...

What I’ve Got
Egyptian Adventures: Hamunaptra (3.0 d20)
Faery’s Tale
GURPS Spirits
ICONS Superpowered Roleplaying
Marvel Superheroes Adventure Game: Avengers: Masters of Evil (Adventure)
Marvel Superheroes Adventure Game: Fantastic Four Roster Book
Marvel Superheroes Adventure Game: Guide to Marvel Earth
Mutants & Masterminds: Silver Age
Pathfinder Advanced Player’s Guide
Pathfinder Bestiary 2
Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to the River Kingdoms
Pathfinder GameMastery Guide

Pathfinder Orcs of Golarion
Copies of my Shadowrun “Kellan Colt” novel trilogy: Born to Run, Poison Agendas, and Fallen Angels
Seattle 2072 for Shadowrun

What I Want
My wish list on DriveThruRPG is here:

I’ll trade for a copy of Heroes of the Forgotten Kingdoms (D&D Essentials).

I’ll take some Gamma World Booster Packs in trade as well.

Lastly, please don’t offer me something that’s not on my want-list (chances are I have my reasons) or ask me for something that’s not on my trade-list (again, chances are there are reasons, not the least of which may be I don’t have a copy I’m willing to part with).

There's a couple of things there I'd like; should I send you an email? I don't know if you have my email address or not.

Dude! I'd trade you a hardcopy of "Heroes of the Forgotten Kingdoms" for a hardcopy of Icons! You cool with that?

How is the Marvel stuff as source material (as opposed to mechanics-specific material)?

Not bad. A Guide to Marvel Earth is mostly source/setting material, with light game stats, although it's also a bit dated (1998). The Fantastic Four Roster Book is a decent book of writeups, one to a page, again with light game stats. Mostly background material, as the stats cover discussion of powers, how strong/smart/etc. character are, and whatnot. The Masters of Evil adventure book is just that: a collection of adventures. Not a lot of source material, unless you want to adapt the adventure plots and locations.

Ack. Sorry I never got back to you.

I don't have anything you want, except for filthy, filthy lucre.

Is that an option?
