Between the Worlds
Sep. 13th, 2005 06:30 pmIn a matter of hours, Christopher and I (and our friend David) leave for Between the Worlds, a gay men's pagan festival in the midwest that runs from tomorrow until Sunday. It's a 13-hour drive, but I'm still really looking forward to it (good company helps make long road-trips go by faster, that and an iPod).
Christopher and I first attended BTW last year, when he was the keynote speaker. We had such a good time (despite a drenching from Hurricane Ivan) that we're going back this year. It's hard to believe it's already been a year since then, but on the other hand it seems like forever ago. I'm looking forward to renewing old friendships, and starting some new ones, as well as the workshops, rituals, and activities of the festival. It'll also be nice to get away for a few days from all the electronica of my life (no offense to present company) and to take a breather from work. I'm not usually a big fan of camping, but there is something to be said for cutting it back to the essentials for a little while to heighten your appreciation for things.
Now, there's still some packing to finish up, so I'll wish everyone a pleasant week, a happy Mabon/Fall Equinox, and I'll see you next week!

It helps me feel less disconnected from everyone to see their current events online, and as I'm really very fond of you and Christopher, I can't help but be happy about getting updates on you every so often.
