For my Yule gift, Christopher got me the complete Flash Gordon animated series on DVD. Oh my gods, it's fun! Cheesy as all get out, of course, but actually not half bad for a Saturday morning cartoon from 1979, and surprisingly true to the comic strips. Plus Ming the Merciless is voiced by Alan Oppenheimer, the same guy who did Skeletor on the Masters of the Universe cartoon. Now I want to do a Spirit of the Century/Iron Lord of Jupiter style game....

Have you seen that the complete Dungeons & Dragons cartoon is out as a DVD boxed set?

That was a great cartoon. I remember enjoying it a lot. Thanks for reminding me of its existence.

I was aware of it, although I haven't seen it yet. I'm most intrigued by the booklet that comes with the DVD set with the D&D stats of all the characters: those losers are 7th level!

That'd be great! Even better news to hear it's going to (finally) see release.
