Just went to see the film this afternoon and loved it. I didn't know it was a Neil Gaiman story so that was a terrific surprise! I thought the film was fantastic... loved Michelle Pfeiffer's character a great deal and the amount of CGI was perfect, very believable.
I went last night and I totally agree. Though I read the book before I think that the movie is one of those that stands alone. The book was much more sad. I also liked pfeiffer.
