Remember, remember, the 5th of November...
Nov. 5th, 2005 11:42 amHappy Guy Fawkes Day, all! We're back from our travels in the English countryside, I'm comfortably ensconced in a Starbucks a block away from the convention center in Croydon with WiFi and some mineral water (with a ginerbread latte in my near future). Updates to the LJ are posted (as you can see below), e-mail checked, and I'm ready to get down to a little work before Christopher's book-signing at 3:00, where I'll be meeting him to figure out our dinner plans (depending on how much he needs to schmooze at Witchfest and how much I need to play the proper author's husband).
Witchfest looks to be a well-attended festival. There was a queue (as the Brits say) blocks long waiting to get in this morning. They were very welcoming and surprisingly well-organized, all things considered. Looks like it will be a good venue for Christopher and a good experience overall. I hope to look around the vendor stalls a bit this afternoon, once I've got everything else out of the way. Then, after breakfast tomorrow, we head out to Gatwick for our flight home. I've enjoyed our time in England, but I'm looking forward to being back home among familiar things soon, too.
