[Traveller] Long Way Home...
Mar. 8th, 2006 10:46 pmThe Traveller game continues; overall, three sessions into things, I'm pleased with how they're going. The adventures tend to be bite-sized and fairly short by our standards (between two and three hours), a lot of this is attributable to the game system being very simple and the fact that we've only had one (brief) combat in three games.
In tonight's adventure, the crew of the Dawnstar made their way to a largely water-covered world, made contact with its inhabitants and bartered for repairs to their ship. They got caught up in a conflict between the locals and a native oceanic lifeform no one previously knew was intelligent. The telepathic ship's medic was able to help facilitate a peaceful settlement after the crew escaped from a flooding undersea dome attacked by the life-forms (after they were endangered by the human inhabitants' undersea mining operations). All-in-all, a neat little adventure.
