Weekend Getaway
Oct. 1st, 2005 09:32 amIt turns out Christopher's class today at the Northeast Institute of Whole Health was canceled, so we suddenly find ourselves with a weekend off together, something that hasn't happened in quite a while when we weren't both traveling for business (or driving 14+ hours out to Between the Worlds).
Christopher suggested a weekend away in one of our favorite spots, so that's exactly what we're doing: throwing some clothes in a bag and heading out in a little while for Burlington, Vermont. It was where we took one of our first weekend trips together years ago, and we still love to visit, plus it's a lovely two hour drive from southern NH, through some very pretty country.
We don't have anything specific planned, but I'm looking forward to wandering Church Street, visiting Quarterstaff (the local game store) and Spirit Dancer (the New Age store where Christopher sometimes teaches) along with picking out one of Burlington's fine restaurants for dinner tonight. We'll be back sometime tomorrow, so I'll just wish everyone a good weekend. Gotta go!

Date: 2005-10-01 11:07 pm (UTC)I've been to Burlington once as well. It was with the basoon teacher from my music camp and we got in trouble after that because the entire staff thought we were doing it. And for the record: she's a she--meaning I WASN'T interested. UNFORTUNATELY, *she* thought I had the hots for her too. Hehe. I just liked hanging out with her and making basoon reeds... Burlington is a beautiful city, and should be really nice this time of year.
Have a great time guys!
