gloom

Bleh.

Ironic that nearly the whole time I was in Seattle the weather was beautiful. It only rained the last day I was there. Since I've gotten home it's been nothing but solid grey skies and endless drizzle or rain. On top of that, I seem to have caught some sort of creeping crud, probably from long hours on a plane or just the usual Fall cold. It's just a mild cough and sore throat, but enough to be really annoying. It's slowing me down at a time when I really can't afford it.

Not too much to report since getting home (I'm just using my LJ for it's original purpose: to bitch and moan). Made plans with my folks for my Dad's birthday next week and I'm supposed to go to my "niece" Olivia's first birthday party next weekend. She's the adorable daughter of Christopher's friend and spiritual sister Laura and her husband Jason. The first in our series of friends who had kids and showed us that it's not something we're cut out to do. I think we'll stick to being the "fairy godfathers" of our friends' kids, thankyouverymuch.

Got some work done (mostly e-mail and similar busy-work). I'm gonna take a break after supper and see if I can't get a bit more accomplished this evening.
