Signs of Life

stevekensonWell, after another day of alternating between sleep, watching TV, and some work, along with many, many cups of ginger tea (with cinnamon, honey, and lemon), I'm starting to feel like my old self. Throat's less sore and cough less pronounced, although I still feel wrung out and tired. Hopefully nothing a good night's sleep won't fix. I need to be able to jump back into work on Monday.
From the sounds of things, Mutants & Masterminds, Second Edition has found its way out into stores. The initial buzz is positive, although folks have plenty of questions, as I expected. The new edition of Freedom City is in production and I'm onto the third and fourth M&M2e products on the upcoming schedule. Born to Run, my first Shadowrun novel in a few years, comes out next month, so the year is certainly ending with a bang!
This coming week is all about the birthdays: my Dad's birthday, our friend Adam's birthday, and my niece Olivia's first birthday next weekend. Then it's getting ready for Samhain and off to London right after that!
All things considered, I guess I'm lucky my body decided to take its "sick time" when it did; I'm not getting another potential break like this weekend for a while to come. Just to be on the safe side, I'm turning in early tonight and getting plenty of sleep.
